The Alliance Kicks Off the New Year with Pamela Inventor Dick Schiferli PDF Print E-mail

Dick Schiferli

On Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 2 PM EST, The Alliance for Virtual Businesses is sponsoring an interactive discussion with Dick Schiferli about Pamfax and Pamela 4.0. Pamela 4.0 is the most widely used Skype add-on available on the Internet today. It allows users to record messages, video and much more. PamFax is, according to the product’s Web site, simple to use, is fully integrated with Skype, has a user friendly wizard that makes sending a fax a breeze, sends faxes from Word/Excel 2003/2007, and allows payment with your Skype Credit. VAs and small business owners interested in learning more about this option should visit the Alliance Web site for details on registering for this free event.

Schiferli is responsible for sales and marketing for Pamela. He has been in software sales since he began his career; working in sales and sales management positions for companies like ComputerLand, Attachmate, Visio, Microsoft and Pivotal. Dick is also the founder of the company that makes Pamela for Skype, the most successful add-on application for Skype. Pamela was the first Skype certified application and has been downloaded more then a quarter of a million times. Originally from the Netherlands, Dick has been living in Germany for the past 20 years.

“Technology, technology! Where do I begin?” Jokes Sharon Williams, chairperson of the Alliance and owner of The 24-Hour Secretary. “Many secured and encrypted Internet-based technologies are available to work securely. VAs around the world must keep up on the ever-changing technologies available to them if they want to run their businesses more efficiently while saving time and money. We’re thrilled to have Mr. Schiferli joining us.”

The event will be held in the Alliance’s online meeting room. Attendees are advised to register ahead of time for updates and meeting links. If you are a Skype user, or you’ve wanted to learn more, this timely discussion can answer all your questions and educate you of new and exciting features. Be sure to attend and learn how Skype and Pamela can enhance your virtual business!
