2007 Blog Hopping & Podcast Tour PDF Print E-mail

2007 VA Blog Hopping & Podcast Tour eBook recounts Sharon Williams’ virtual 45-day trip around the Internet as she visited different blogs and podcasts, in Australia, Canada, the US, England and other countries, answering more than 200 questions about the Virtual Assistant Industry, technology trends, benefits of working with VAs, industry history -- anything blog readers wanted to know about one of the fastest growing home-based businesses of the 21st century, and the annual online convention.

Many participants were interested in learning how to build a successful VA practice. For Williams, possessing an “entrepreneurial spirit” is the key. “Many, many people don’t understand what the entrepreneurial spirit is – at least my definition – which is having a vision, the desire and ability to take risks, be innovative, and willing to push the limits of what's known and understood. It's the internal focus of believing in yourself, listening to your intuition and dreaming BIG; managing fear so that it doesn't become an obstacle.”

The eBook contains answers to questions asked by VAs and clients alike. "The tour was, and will continue to be an opportunity to educate executives and entrepreneurs about the advantages of working with VAs," states Ms. Williams. The book covers many topics including pricing, promotion, marketing, networking, niches, branding – just about any topic a small business owner and/or VA would be interested in exploring. For instance:

As a solo business owner, I do EVERYTHING myself, but I'm drowning in the details of running my business. How would hiring a Virtual Assistant help me right away?
Isn't working with a VA more expensive than hiring an employee?
What are some things a Virtual Assistant can't do or that I shouldn't ask for?
What would you say to a business owner that thinks it would just be cheaper to hire a high school student or local mom looking for some part-time work instead of a virtual assistant?
What are some of the biggest misconceptsions small business owners and entrepreneurs have about Virtual Assistance and Virtual Assistants?
