Hello and Welcome to the Scavenger Hunt! 

The Scavenger Hunt will begin on September 8, 2011 at 3:00 PM (New York: eastern time) in the U.S.A. (5:00 AM (Sydney eastern time in Australia)). All are welcome from around the world to join in. To figure the time in your area visit: http://timeanddate.com/worldcl…..erter.html. The Hunt will run for 9 hours and you can join in to play at any time during the hunt.

To play, you must sign-up with the Alliance for Virtual Businesses web site, with a minimum "free" membership. This will allow you to post your participation to this forum.

Items to hunt will be posted hourly during the 9 hours (at this topic). The hunt will be based on points so don't worry about not being able to participate in finding a particular item. However, the more you can do the more points you will receive.

You are welcome to sign up early! If you are going to participate, sign-in at the Scavenger Hunt participants sub-forum within this forum.

Hunt description:

This hunt will be all online (if you need to go outside your home/office to obtain an item you are welcome to do so). Each participant will sign-in to the A4VB forum and mention that they are going to join the hunt at the posting area in these forums. All hunted items will be posted hourly and at this forum topic. The findings will be sent to an e-mail address to keep the findings private from other participants. That e-mail address is: scavenger@allianceforvirtuabiz.com. Some findings will be posted to the forum as they are received to show activity during the 9 hours. The person with the most points will win the first place prize. Second amount of points will win second place and so on. Winners will choose from the list of prizes in the order in which they won (see list of prizes).

Here are the rules:

1. To post, you must sign in with a user name and password at the A4VB web site. A minimum free membership is required.
2. Participants must sign-in to the A4VB web site forum “Open House Celebration Day” and post a mention in the “Participants Sign-up Here” under the Scavenger Hunt forum that they are participating.
3. By signing-in, the participants agree to the rules set forth in this hunt.
4. Participants can start their hunt at any time during the 9 hour period.
5. Participants must send their findings to the e-mail address: scavenger@allianceforvirtuabiz.com. In the e-mail, state your name and which hunt number (#) the finding represents. You may need to send several e-mails with your findings. Give us the details in the e-mail where you posted, what you did, or found an item, and the points you are expecting from the finding, etc.
6. Winners will be announced within 24 hours after this event closes.
7. Winners can win only one win position, first, second, third, forth, etc. Winners will choose their prize in this order from the list of prizes (see list of prizes).
8. In case of a tie at any level, the winner will be chosen from the names in a hat and will then be announced.
9. Judges will hold an unbiased count of all findings and is in no association or contact with any participant.
10. Participants will not hold liable any issues associated with the hunt, towards any members of the A4VB team or its owners.
11. The Scavenger Hunt Rules are subject to updates before and during the hunt itself as issues may arise. Be sure to check back to the rules during the duration of the hunt.
